Species Description

Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK but mainly in the South. Habitat includes: grassland, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards etc. Diet: Feeds on the roots of Clovers. Length: 4 - 6 mm. Previously known as Sitona lepidus, it is quite similar to S. puncticollis.
