Species Description

Widespread but scattered throughout England and more concentrated in the South and absent from the South West. Habitat includes: where its host occurs (various species in the genus Mimesa) in sandy areas. Flight period: June to August. Was previously known as Notozus scutellaris / constrictus Flowers used: Wild Carrot, various members of the Heath family (Ericaceae).
