Edward Horace Swete

Edward Horace Swete (full name Edward Horatio Walker Swete) born in 1825, Westbury, Gloucester and died 4th December 1912; was a surgeon at Wrington, Somerset and founder of the Cottage Hospital movement. He married Sarah Anne Bailey.

He wrote the first comprehensive flora of Bristol (Flora bristoliensis pub. 1854) which describes about 810 species occurring within a 5 mile radius of the city. And wrote a 'Handy Book of Cottage Hospitals'.

He was also a County Spring Analyst for Worcester & Radnor - 1879 Chalybeate Spring. Llandrindod Wells in Powys Mid Wales
