Pill Marsh

Description

The last saltmarsh on the tidal Avon below Bristol to be cattle grazed. When this stopped, some 30 years ago, Sea Couch-grass rapidly took over most of the marsh. Still, some special plants can be found here such as Sea Purslane, Sea Aster, Galingale, a variety of Oraches, Sedges and much more. It is also a prime spot to see various wading birds and passers by such as Cormorants.
