Species Description

Widespread but scattered throughout the UK and mainly in the South. Habitat includes: Dry, base-rich, calcareous soils in places such as woodland, hedge-banks, scrub, rough grassland, river banks, swamp woodland, gardens (often escapes) etc. Growing habit: Perennial. Height: Up to 1 m. Flowers: July to September.
