Species Description

Widespread and fairy frequent in the south and scarce in the north. Habitat includes: Calcareous, wet places; usually winter flooded sites which dry out in the Summer such as the margins of rivers / streams, canals, ponds, lakes, reservoirs, marshland etc. Flowers: June to August. Perennial. Seed germination rate is poor so mainly spreads vegetatively via fragments.
