Species Description

Widespread but local in the Southern half of the UK but absent from much of the West. Habitat includes: Places with Forget-me-not (Myosotis) often on light chalky soils in warm situations such as gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards, lane-sides, roadside verges, railway banks, grassy banks, wasteland, open woodlands, coasts etc. Diet: Forget-me-not seeds. Length: 7 - 9 mm.
