Species Description
Widespread and fairly frequent throughout the UK but mainly in the south. Habitat includes: grassland, gardens, parks, allotments, churchyards etc. where it feeds on a range of herbaceous plants such as dandelions, nettles and thistles. Very similar to Aphrodes makarovi - from which it has not long been split but is apparently smaller, has less conspicuous pale wing veination and is less common but often dissection is required.
